Winnipeg is a city like no other. Giving back to our community ensures that people who live here have the resources they need. 

In the last few years, we’ve all had a lot on our plates. Despite everything that’s happened, it’s important to remember that our communities still need us. 

In the whirlwind of current events, it’s easy to forget about the organizations that rely on our support to help—charitable organizations devoted to serving the vulnerable in our communities. 

At Nation West, we’re fortunate enough to continue our operations and growth, even during difficult times. That’s why we believe it’s important to give back to our community and support those in need. We do this by donating to charitable non-profit organizations in Winnipeg.

The Winnipeg Humane Society

Founded in 1894, the WHS is committed to protecting animals from mistreatment, promoting their welfare, and treating them humanely. It’s a community service organization made up of volunteers and partners.

The Winnipeg Humane Society is a non-profit charity funded by events and donations. The animal shelter offers adoption services, neutering, and resources about pet ownership. Each year, it hosts fundraisers and events to support its operations. 

The past two years have been especially tough for animal shelters. More and more pet owners are surrendering their animals as they return to work. This puts a strain on shelters like the WHS. 

At Nation West Insurance, we recognize how important it is to treat animals with the respect and care they deserve. With each new insurance policy we sell, we donate a portion to the Winnipeg Humane Society. 

Agape Table

Agape Table provides members of the community with nutritious, filling food. It’s a non-profit, independent, charitable organization committed to feeding those who are most vulnerable. Each bagged breakfast contains a sandwich, soup, pastry, fruit, and drink. 

Agape Table is primarily funded by donations. A few of its core values include treating guests with dignity and respect, paying its staff a living wage, and sharing information about the use of charitable donations. 

Everyone is welcome at Agape Table, which primarily serves those who are homeless, low-income seniors, single parents, persons with disabilities, and more. 

It’s so important to start your day off with a healthy, balanced breakfast. Organizations like Agape Table help children, adults, and seniors get the nutrition they need each day. At Nation West Insurance, we donate a percentage of all new business to Agape Table.
